Host: Simon Gregor
In previous talks, Simon has explored how the battlefield landscapes of the First World War were described in post-war guidebooks and other publications. But in this brand new talk, he will explore what individuals who visited the battlefields and cemeteries in the 1920s actually made of it all - sometimes moving, sometimes amusing, sometimes angry, their responses are an insight into some of the earliest commemoration of this conflict.
