Skill Level - Beginners

Sheila-May has designed this series of 5 workshops for people who are new to dressmaking and also for the more experienced who just want a quick and easy project. If you can thread and use your sewing machine you can easily make this top. It has no awkward zips, closures or facings and you will discover that working with stretch fabric is easier than you think.

Working in real time over the course of 5 sessions Sheila-May will teach you how to download the PDF pattern, how to work with stretch fabric and how to make the top in your size. The pattern can easily be lengthened to make a tunic or dress

This course has been designed as a 5 part course with a 'drop in' format. We recommend that if you are new to dressmaking and pattern cutting to join each session, however if you have a little more experience, you may wish to only join a couple of sessions of your choosing, focusing on specific aspects of the make so only book the ones that you feel you will need.

Please note that if you do miss earlier sessions, you may miss some relevant information for the make. If you have questions relating to information you may have missed from previous sessions, we kindly ask that you write any questions down that you may have and ask these during the allocated Q&A sections of the course. This is to ensure that the relevant content for the session advertised is covered to ensure the smooth running of the course.

Week 1 - This first week Sheila-May showed you how to download, print off and put together an instant PDF download pattern for the top. How to measure accurately and how to choose the correct pattern size.
