With so many films now available to us through Netflix, Amazon, Sky (to name just a few!) it can sometimes feel overwhelming scrolling through page after page, trying to find a good film. Why not let us take away that indecisive pressure and join us at the WI Film Club – Beyond the Screen!
Join our host Vicky in our WI Film Club, to discuss the story and themes of our selected film in a safe, secure and unthreatening online session. This may then inspire you to set up your own film club within your own WI.
WI Film Club sessions will take place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month and films are selected to encourage discussions on a wide variety of topics which will sometimes tie in with campaigns and notable events.
For the February session, attendees are invited to watch Parallel Mothers.
Starring Penelope Cruz and Milena Smit, this story is about two women who share a hospital room while they give birth. They form a bond during these hours together which develops, complicates and changes both their lives.
This is a Spanish language film with English subtitles and is currently available for free on BBC iPlayer for a month.
Please note this session will not be recorded or available to view at another time.
Zoom log in details will be included at the bottom of your confirmation email after you have registered.
(If you do not receive a confirmation email please check your spam/junk email boxes or sign into the 'Your Account' section of the Learning Hub website to retrieve all of your booking and course information)
