There are thousands of castles in Germany, ranging lesser known mediaeval fortresses to the poster child of castles everywhere - Neuschwanstein, and they are so plentiful that this talk can only include a small number of them. The Grimm brothers were inspired by some of them, and maybe their turrets, towers and drawbridges will make you feel as though you've stepped back centuries — or into a fairy tale.
