Join Steve this week to learn how to paint expressive skies using watercolour and the simple wax resist technique. By combining transparent washes with the repelling effect of wax, you’ll create soft, luminous clouds full of texture and movement.

Steve will guide you through step-by-step demonstrations, showing how to layer colours, control water and pigment, and balance light and shade for atmospheric results. The addition of a wax crayon or candle brings an element of surprise, helping you capture the shifting forms of the sky with ease.

By the end of the class, you’ll have your own completed watercolour sky scene and the confidence to use wax resist in future projects.
