Christmas has long been a time of feasting, and the foods associated with it have evolved alongside societies, traditions, and available ingredients. Food is in fact a lens into history, culture, religion and tradition. We embark on a delicious journey through history and across cultures, from pre-Christian festivals through Medieval, Tudor, Georgian and Victorian eras. Followed by an exploration of Christmas foods across the globe.
