We are pleased to be working with No 'i' In Clare to offer this online session. Please ensure you read the course description, including aims and objectives prior to booking. The partner trainers we are working with are experts in their field and, while they have been briefed on the structure of the WI, this session will not be WI specific.
Friday 31st January 9:30am-12:30pm
How do we communicate with others? Good communication is the foundation for a collaborative working environment. This course centres around the understanding of communication styles, where we naturally sit and how we can adapt to meet others communication needs. Once we understand those needs we can utilise a range of skills to better influence them towards a more successful collaboration.
This session uses drama-based techniques to put theory into practice. By working with professional actors, you will explore, through real time feedback, the shifts you can make to empower better communication. This session will focus on ‘Forum Theatre’ and ‘Hotseating’ aspects. Click here to read more about Drama Based Methodology and the techniques that will be used during this training session.
By the end of this session you will be able to:
Identify the 4 Key Bolton & Bolton Communication Styles
Gain a greater understanding of which communication style(s) you operate from
Adapt your communication to better influence a person with another communication style
Understand a range of key communication skills, including: Body Language, Tone of Voice, Questioning, Listening Skills & Empathy
This is a participatory training session and to ensure participants to feel able to ask questions and share experiences freely, this session will not be recorded.
