Sewing with Gill is back at the Hub!

With a whole host of creative projects lined up for autumn and the run-up to Christmas, Gill wants to make sure everyone feels confident and ready to get stitching. Whether you're brand new to sewing or just need a refresher, this relaxed and practical session is the perfect place to start.

In this class, you’ll get to grips with your sewing machine and build the confidence to use it independently. We’ll cover:

  • How to set up your sewing machine and troubleshoot common issues

  • Choosing the right stitch for the job and identifying different sewing machine feet

  • Understanding tension — what it is, how it works, and how to fix it when it goes wrong

  • Making the most of your machine’s stitches by adjusting length and width

  • Changing needles — when, how, and which ones to use

  • Selecting the best threads for smooth sewing

There’s plenty of time for questions, so bring along your curiosity (and your machine, if you like) and Gill will help you get up to speed. No prior knowledge or preparation needed — just come along and get to know your sewing machine!

Course Documents and Zoom log in details will be included at the bottom of your confirmation email after you have registered.
