With so many films available on platforms like iPlayer, ITVX, Netflix, Amazon, and Sky, finding a good movie can feel overwhelming. To help you skip the indecision, join us at the WI Film Club – Beyond the Screen! Join our host Vicky for an engaging discussion about the story and themes of the film in a friendly and supportive online session. This could even inspire you to start your own film club within your WI.

This month, we turn our spotlight to Allelujah, a warm and moving drama set in a Yorkshire hospital’s geriatric ward facing closure. As the staff and patients rally to save it—with help from a visiting news crew—what begins as a celebration takes unexpected turns. Starring Judi Dench, Jesse Akele, and David Bradley.

Allelujah is a heartfelt tribute to the elderly and the healthcare workers who care for them.

WI Film Club sessions will take place on the 3rd Wednesday of each month and films are selected to encourage discussions on a wide variety of topics which will sometimes tie in with campaigns and notable events.
