Available spaces: 249
Host: Lynda Warren
A look at some of our native herbs (wild garlic, primroses, yarrow, sweet Cicely and meadowsweet) and some of those that made their way to our shores from other countries. Coriander and dill from Mesopotamia (Iraq); sage and calendula from Ancient Greece and Roman Italy; aloe and basil from India; ginseng root and jasmine from Asia; evening primrose and witch hazel from America. Together with their uses in cooking and health.
It's important to note that some herbs have been cultivated and spread beyond their original locations, so whilst these are traditional places of origan, they have been cultivated in many other areas of the globe.
