In this latest instalment of his occasional series, Simon will explore current debates and issues in US politics.  Events move fast these days, so at the time of writing it's hard to know what exactly will be topical!  But the talk will include a review of what's been going on in Congress with the budget bill (the so-called "Big Beautiful Bill"), as well as considering some of the recent high-profile legal cases relating to the administration and their outcomes.  There will, as always, be plenty of time for questions and discussion.
