Did you know… there are an estimated 24 million gardens in the UK, which make up nearly 30% of the total urban area and create a mosaic of oases for nature in towns and cities.
In June 2023, the NFWI joined in partnership with The Wildlife Trusts, Incredible Edible, and Garden Organic, to pay tribute to His Majesty, King Charles III’s long-standing commitment to the natural world and the environment.
Coronation Gardens for Food and Nature is a three-year programme that aims to enthuse millions of people and communities across the United Kingdom, to live sustainably and help wildlife recover by growing food and creating space for nature in gardens, on balconies, and in shared greenspaces.
Through this fabulous partnership, we are pleased to share with you six short videos, filmed by the Coronation Gardens at the Wildlife Gardening open day at Shropshire Wildlife Trust, in conjunction with the local Master Composters of Garden Organic.
