There is a legend that in the early days of World War II, a coven of witches gathered in the New Forest to work magic to repel the threat of a Nazi invasion. This presentation examines how this story about witches fighting a secret battle to defend their island home evolved. The presentation includes images of original documents and newspaper reports.
