Join us for a powerful and thought-provoking discussion in celebration of International Women’s Day. We are delighted to welcome Abi Wright, co-founder of Festival of the Girl, who will explore the real-world consequences of misogyny and why understanding these impacts is the crucial first step toward meaningful change.

This talk will delve into how misogyny threatens to undo progress toward gender equality and why failing to challenge it risks normalising harmful attitudes and behaviours. We’ll examine how these issues affect young people in particular, and discuss what we can do to create a more inclusive and equitable society.

Don’t miss this important conversation—join us and be part of the change!

Abi Wright
After Abi’s first daughter was born on IWD in 2017 she was inspired to bring together her expertise in posture and physical wellbeing and her determination to create a more gender equal society and founded She Stands.

She Stands is using posture to shape a more gender equal society where females can grow up feeling at home in their bodies and never feel the need to apologise for taking up space.

Understanding that there is still so much to be done to create an equal society Abi co-founded Festival of The Girl in 2019. The non-profit believes in a world where gender stereotypes no longer limit kids’ potentials. Being the first festival of its kind they are reaching girls all over the UK and the world, and creating a lasting impact by inspiring future leaders in all sectors, industries, and endeavours.

She lives with her partner and two daughters in East London.
