Since retiring from Scotland Yard’s “Royalty & Diplomatic Protection” in 1992, Peter has been an adult education tutor and lecturer, majoring on various aspects of our country’s history, including the development of London, East Anglia and sharing aspects of his experiences at Scotland Yard.
Joining Denman in 1995, the WI has served Peter well over the years hence his continued commitment to giving talks, both via Zoom and to local WIs in his adopted county of Norfolk.
Peter is also a Freeman of the City of London.
Peter is another excellent speaker I would love to hear more talks by him!
Excellent presentation from a fluent and knowledgeable speaker
Peter has had such an interesting career and his knowledge of London is amazing
Enjoy all this series of lectures
As always, Peter’s enthusiasm for his subject was inspiring. I learnt a lot about the palace in Tudor times which I had often wondered about.
Peter's was good as usual. The slides and photos were clear and the content was varied and informative.
Extremely interesting and well prepared talk
We always enjoy Peter's talks and will continue to attend every time. This talk brought back lots of memories of visits we've made to a beautiful city.
