Join Sarah-Jane Stephens for one of our weekly exercise classes or join Simon Gregor for one of our monthly guided meditation sessions.

Sarah-Jane is a Pilates & Yoga teacher with over 12 years experience. Her classes are diverse, offering a variety of challenges and adaptations, ensuring a unique experience every time for all abilities.

Simon has been practicing Taoism since he was a teenager and is a huge advocate for the mental health benefits associated with meditation. 

You can join their sessions live or via the recording later on demand.

 

Chair Yoga & Pilates Mix

This class is for anyone who feels they would like to improve their mobility and muscle tone and would benefit from gentle exercise with support.

Most of the class will be seated however there may be some standing postures using the chair for increased stability for those that are able, but different options will always be available if you wish to remain seated.

The class is inspired by Yoga postures and Pilates exercises to improve core strength, flexibility and well being.

The class begins and ends with breath work and relaxation.

For this session you will need:

  • A hard backed chair
  • A tennis ball
  • A soft 23cm Pilates Ball or small cushion
  • A small bottle of water

Live Sessions - Weekly

Yoga & Pilates Flow

With lots of variety and options so that you can challenge your muscles safely, Sarah-Jane will teach some simple yoga flows to improve flexibility and balance, combined with fundamental Pilates exercises to improve core strength and muscle tone.

 The class will begin with a gentle warm up and breathing exercise and will end with a short breathing relaxation.

For this session you will need:

  • Non slip yoga/exercise mat
  • Yoga block (not essential)
  • Small flat cushion
  • Blanket

Live Sessions – Weekly

Guided Meditation

Join Simon for a guided meditation and visualisation based on the key Taoist text, the Tao Te Ching. The session will begin with a brief introduction, followed by a guided meditation and visualisation, with time for discussion and questions at the end. To take part in this session, all you will need is a quiet and comfortable place.

Seated Strength Building

The focus of this class is to build strength by adding weights to enhance our Yoga and Pilates poses and exercises. 
Strength training has the ability to improve bone density, increase muscle mass, enhance coordination and boost metabolic rate. As a result of adding a little weight to your workout, Sarah-Jane’s aim is that you will see an improvement in physical function in all areas of your life (she also promises that it will be a lot of fun!) 
There is no need to buy dumbbells as you have everything you need for this class in your kitchen cupboards! We will also use our own bodies as our personal weight machines.
As always you can take every exercise at your own pace and skip any that don’t feel right for your body.
