Available spaces: 396
Host: Claire Salmon
In this two-part course you will learn how to make your own beautiful suffragette doll with her elegant coat, bespoke hat and sash in traditional purple, green and white colours. You can also use the pattern with alternative colours to make an Edwardian style costume doll. This project is suitable for those with some experience of sewing.
Part One will include how to make the doll figure, including the face and hair.
Part Two will show you how to make her skirt, coat and hat, and how to print a ‘Votes for Women’ sash and hat band.
A full list of materials, pattern and instructions will be attached to your confirmation email and in the accompanying notes for each session, along with the text to print your sash and hat band. The project will include both machine sewing and hand sewing. The doll can also be made entirely by hand, although this will take more time.
Zoom log in details will be included at the bottom of your confirmation email after you have registered.
(If you do not receive a confirmation email please check your spam/junk email boxes)
Please note, this session will be recorded and available to view after the session within 48 hours of it taking place. You will be able to locate it under our Access Anytime courses list and you will be able to watch it flexibly in your own time for the subsequent 7 days.
