This online workshop is aimed at Chairs who are new in post or about to take up the post. The session will explore the leadership skills and knowledge that will make you the most effective Chair you can become – and the support that you might need. The emphasis will be on the strengths you bring, as well as the ‘gaps’ you want to fill. And we will offer some tips that might be useful in your particular setting.
The focus is on the role in practice; enabling the trustees to deliver on their legal duties, what good governance is in practice, and building a collaborative and effective governing body.
By the end of this session, you will have:
The workshop will be led by Beryl Hobson, Director of Professional Governance Services (PGS), and Amber Shotton, AoC Associate.
This is an interactive training session and to ensure participants to feel able to ask questions and share experiences freely, this session will not be recorded.
