Hello! I’m Julie Sajous, an artist and art teacher living on the beautiful Isle of Wight. My sunny studio sits in the garden here, surrounded by farmland and nature and not far from me is the sea.

I trained as a Fashion Designer and after a career in New York and London, gradually moved into teaching art and design.

These days I divide my time between teaching in my studio, running online lessons and creating my own work, mainly painting and sketching. I exhibit in local galleries and take part in the Island’s popular Open Studios event each summer.

Over lockdown I ran a virtual art school, and since then have really enjoyed teaching art using my
own films of lovely places! What really matters to me is giving students of all abilities confidence
in their practice, as well as making art fun!
